I had a job like that once. I was asked to make a graph or something, did it in about 45 seconds and I was God. I was thinking to myself... k... I learned how to do that in my junior year... of high school... and I just used the Help feature.

Apparently copy pasta is hard. I just got finished yesterday with rebuilding all the graphs on an excel DB spreadsheet and all I did was copy the graphs from the DB that didn't crash and then tell them to look at the right information.
But, this makes me a wonderful employee... or my boss a lazy nosepicker.

Taking a new supplement that is so incredibly bad for me, I had to make a trip up to the ER, because my chest tightened up, I began hyperventilating, and showed all the signs of an impending heart attack.
Doctor said I was just fine, and that the stimulants had skyrocketed my blood pressure, and gave me an extreme anxiety/panic attack.
I quite literally thought I was going to die.
I went in to take a computer based test today to add a certification so I could teach middle school in addition to high school. The guy in the cubicle opposite me was taking some test in there that involved a lot of typing. He was typing so hard it sounded like he was hitting the keyboard with a hammer.
What the fuck, dude? There's 10 other people in the room trying to take a test too, you don't need to try to break the keyboard with every stroke.

Ahem, caps off....anyways. At work we ship shit to all places in the 50 states, Canada and to a place called Eersel in the Netherlands. From Eersel they ship to everywhere else we dont here in the U.S.
Just a few of the stupid policies in place?
~If a package is going to Canada, it must have its weights and dimensions on a paper with it. It is then put on a skid, wrapped and that skids weights and dimension are measured and the weights and dimensions of the box DONT MATTER AT ALL CAUSE HUUUUUUUUR ITS ALL ONE BOX NOW.
~After that dumbass policy....Canadian packages also can go to one of two places(and this is where it gets retarded so stay with me), to Illinois or directly to Canada. From Illinois they go to Canada anyways but are checked for accuracy...which WE DO THREE TIMES BEFORE THEY LEAVE FUCKING OHIO.
~All packages going to Eersel need 0 fucking weights, 0 fucking dimensions BUT they cannot be in boxes with two sides less that 8 inches long. That means if I have to send out a flash drive I have to put 2000 pounds of fucking packing material into a box that I could fit 100 flash drives in just to ship it out. Why is this? Becuase international boxes have to have a label THAT ONLY THE PEOPLE WHO WORK HERE NEED TO READ SO THEY MAKE SURE THEY GO ON THE RIGHT SKID. Instead of shrinking the label (which only needs the address and two numbers about 7-10 numbers long (ie 5058000) we will just use bigger boxes....
Oh, and then there's domestic shipments.... this isnt so much stupid policy as it is stupid people.
~Vendors and order takers alike are at fault here. The call comes in that jackass x needs part y and wants it sent via FedEx or UPS (or god forbid its too long for those asshats and has to go freight which I will cover in a sec). Now, say jackass x lives two miles down the road (like 3 orders I did tonight do). He wants it NOW, not later, not whenever I feel like it, HE WANTS HIS SHIT NAOOOOOOOOOOOO. So what does fuckstick do? He says ship it priority and pays 3-4x more THAN HE WOULD IF HE SHIPPED IT GROUND WHICH (and heres the kicker) FUCKING ARRIVES AT THE SAME GODDAMN TIME ON THE SAME GODDAMN DAY AS YOUR FUCKING EXPRESS YOU FUCKING MORON. 5 minutes of research would tell them this but they are too busy jacking off the shareholders to care....
~If something is too big to fit on UPS or FedEx delivery trucks it instead goes by a company called Conway. Now, I dont know the specifics but I do know that Conway does freight and only freight so they are probably going to be cheaper than FedEx or UPS's freight services. But guess what? We still use those two on some orders because and I quote "we have an agreement with them". Im sorry...what? You have an agreement to pay more money than is necessary because some jackass made a bad move 20 years ago? Really?
And the last thing that gets me more than ANYTHING at this place is this...
~When a product line here goes out (ie outdated, updated, replaced, moved) the old product is either stored away incase of use later or sent away to be recycled. Now the stuff in the warehouses sits there for anywhere from a month to the most recent find of 10 years. Now, this old stuff needs to be cleared out because it has been deemed never to be used again or something along those lines. Instead of, you know, maybe selling it to employees for a retardedly marked down price or hell even having someone sell it for you (Im talking about shit like waterproof camera cases, industrial lasers, boxes, bins, scrap metal) what do they do? The managers (depending on which one) will FORCE you to throw it away and if they catch you taking ANYTHING its immediate removal from the company. Why? There is no reason why. ITS TRASH YOU ARE THROWING AWAY AT LEAST LET YOUR UNDERPAID FUCKING COLLEGE KIDS WHO PUT UP WITH ENOUGH SHIT AS IT IS REAP SOME OF THE BENEFITS. But no, that landfill over thar will be much happier with 10 tons of plastic casing and glass piping.......

My work is probably one of the most profitable companies I have ever heard of that could hire back everyone they've laid off since 08' and have them sit and do nothing but watch their screensavers all day and still turn out double the numbers they have now if they would just stop trying to make pretty numbers for all 10 people sitting at the top and ran the damn business. Cause guess what happens when your business profits in a recession? When that shit is over you look ridiculously good AND MAKE MORE MONEY CAUSE YOU HAVE THE HISTORY OF SURVIVING A RECESSION WITH SUCH GOOD PRODUCTS!

The phoenix airport. Apparently if you have to switch terminals you have to go OUTSIDE...like past security, past baggage claim, etc. There aren't any signs that tell you this, so after bumping into security checkpoints like 3 times tryig to find my terminal I had to ask someone to figure out what I was missing. Then you have to wait 10 minutes in the blazing sun for a shuttle bus to take you to your correct terminal. You arrive at the correct terminal and find that the signs don't list your flight at all, and have to wander around and find someone to ask what gate your flight leaves from. Then go BACK through security. I've flown a lot, and ive never been more confused by an airport in my life.

Please define "failure." I would love to be in an end-game raiding guild like Alpha. How do you figure getting algalon down 25 man is a failure? Sure there's probably some internal guild drama but you better not be mad because Midwinter got further in hard modes and got Realm Firsts. All I'm saying is that if you expect to get those realm firsts i would suggest not referring to such an accomplishment as a "failure" of your guild.

Also, I feel you Jesi. I once spent a 13 hour layover in Dallas/Fort Worth because it snowed in San Antonio. Then we had the pleasure of being stuck in one of those little miniature tram cars outside with no A/C for hours. I think we ate at the "chilis express" about 5 times.

Having high expectations is what separates real progression guilds from the random pile of mewling asshats that scream like retarded monkeys on Vent the first time they downed Ignis.
Here's a newsflash, Connie Chung. I know I don't have the time to devote to being in a high-end progression guild. So you know what I don't do? Oil wells that get broken..... always in the middle of the night and they call me 5 times before dawn to ask how to fix it.
After telling them 5 times and they STILL don't get it I get fed up and tell them to leave it alone til I get there after a 2 hour drive.
Then I get there and the pack of tards that broke it did NOT leave it alone and managed to fix it.
Then I get a phone call 1.5 hours into my drive back that, yes, it's broken again, along with several other things they fiddled with while fixing the 1st thing.
There are days I can deal with stupidity, and there are days like this that drive me dangerously close to being on a rooftop with a rifle........
Went to get my eyes checked to get contact lenses... and ended up not doing it because the vision part of my insurance from my previous employer was a discount program. And the discount on eye exams was, no shit, $5.

What disappointing content. :( I had some hope for the hard modes after seeing Ulduar, but I guess difficulty wasn't really what they had in mind.
World first Tribute to Insanity (10 Players) by For The Horde
For The Horde only needed a few hours to go through the hard mode of the 10-Man Trial of the Crusader .... without wiping. They are the first guild to complete the A Tribute to Insanity (10 Players) achievement.
Blizzard must really think that the "difficulty" that higher-end players want is just "k guys, don't wipe". And you know when blues finally respond to all the complaints about the heroic content being way too easy, they will say something along the lines of "well if you want difficulty, try the tribute runs". Okay, thanks. I didn't know that not wiping was apparently a different mode of the boss. Fuck. I was actually holding out for the heroic lockouts, thinking it might be moderately difficult and make up for some of the disappointment of the normal lockouts. But no. Blizzard delivered all right.

Ulduar was fine. I was very satisfied with it and its difficulty. Even the nerfed encounters (and all encounters get nerfed, whatever, no one cares) are harder than the un-nerfed encounters in ToGC. Appealing to a wide audience is fine and I think they were very successful with Ulduar. ToGC, on the other hand.... not so much. I finally feel like a casual bad with really good gear in that I don't understand the point of gearing myself up. Why? So I can do ToGC more easily? Really? It's just like casaul bads needing awesome gear to do 5-mans. It takes the fun out of it.
Giving casuals badges and gear... whatever, I don't care. Nerfing encounters after 4+ months... whatever, I don't care. Some of the big changes they did that "lol uphill both ways back in my day" people complain about I actually liked, like the consumables nerf back in TBC, streamlining a lot of the gameplay and abilities, raid-wide buffs, etc. And I was always satisfied that at least what I was doing was challenging. There was content for everyone, and I just chose to the hardest available, which was fun.
Now the hardest available is "k don't wipe in the same stupidly easy encounters we just took 5 weeks to unlock". Yeah, that's dumb. It's not content. It's not difficulty. It's just laziness. That's not even the right word. It's just something that makes you think "wow, what the fuck were they thinking when they made this?"
Icecrown can be bad and still be better than ToGC. They'll put all of their resources into making it too, just to make sure you stay with them until the next expansion. They were better off just letting us farm Ulduar for another 4-5 months instead of this stupid ToGC crap.

That being said - I haven't experienced the ToGC yet. I've just done the normal version, so I suppose I'm just backseat driving until we get in and start the heroic version. However, I really just don't see an issue with getting the 25+ attempt achievement the first week in there.
Yeah I pretty much agree, except with the nerfing of encounters part.
They want people to see content, I get that. They want everyone to have access to raiding and good gear...I can accept that too. But from the inception of hard modes in Ulduar they said they wanted hard modes to be hard...and I don't really understand how those philosophies translated in any way to the heavy handed nerfs they hit some of the fights with (Firefighter I guess would be the most obvious example). I was moderately sympathetic to the fact that they couldn't nerf easy modes of Ulduar without inadvertently affecting hard modes also (though I still believe they could have struck a better balance with some tweaking, and some of the Firefighter nerfs were certainly hard mode specific only).
But then to see the way that they COMPLETELY separated the normal and heroic modes of raiding content...only to leave less of a difficulty gap between the two than there was previously? I just don't get it. What's wrong with your average player clearing normal mode content and getting gear that is (really not that much at all, but very slightly) below what is available to a guild clearing through on heroic mode? What's wrong with having something substantial to work toward, especially with the implementation of raid lockout extensions and all the other tools to easily gear oneself to further cushion difficult fights?
I genuinely expect a blue post in the near future to say "Our philosophy is that your average player and their group of friends (of any class or spec!) can get together and clear through everything up to and including the hardest available content when willing to give it a try. Winning is fun for everyone and we want to be sure that all are included in this experience."

The reason the stats got so high is that the Ulduar model of gear (where hard modes offer higher ilevel) was something we added after ship and therefore after the core combat mechanics of Lich King were already in place. We designed the system with lower numbers from gear than we are ultimately going to end up offering. You might be able to guess at the highest ilevels in Icecrown and those are higher than we originally planned on them being. The alternative was that hard modes didn't offer better loot. :(

Wiping repeatedly to Paletress because the DPS didn't get that they had to attack the Memory, and that when you hit Paletress while the memory is out, you kill yourself with the Damage Reflect shield.
I didn't even realize she had a damage reflection shield... I've never been stupid enough to keep hitting her. I couldn't fathom why healing it was so hard.

Turns out, it was raining in my bedroom. I called the apartment manager, and they came out. The guy upstairs from me wasn't home, so they went in. Turns out his flapper valve chain was caught so it would never close, and he managed to plug the toilet up right before he left.
Shitstorm indeed. At least it was pretty filtered by the time it finally rained on my bedroom.

United Airlines can suck a fat cock. My flight gets delayed an hour so I have sit in this packed terminal which is kept at 2 degrees above 0 I guess in hopes that if we are cold we will be slower and easier to control. My particular section of frozen hell was surrounded by quite possibly the most annoying family in the world who don't believe in birth control. All girls, 5 of them. 2 of which were twins. These fucking retards are the type of folks who give timeouts. So I'm sitting there trying to watch Wolf Blitzer intervew this faggot in the army (Lt. Dan Choi...tell me, what's the funny thing there). And all I get are these little fucking mongoloids trying to sing the newest 13 year old over maid up whore of pop cultures new hit song of the week OVER EACH OTHER. Instead of being responsible parents and back handing the first out of line child to teach it it's place in silence they ACTUALLY STARTED CLAPPING AND CHEERING THEM ON. I've half heartedly wished death on people...and sometimes myself, but I sincerely was praying for a meteorite to fall from the sky and kill them all, somehow sparing me. So...after about 30 minutes of that and realizing that these fucking glass sorters have no fucking concept of "being out in public" I said fuck it...and started to use this miserable food poisoning for some good. Till this point I was sitting uncomfortably in the terminal with gas from the bacon and egg sandwich I tried to eat this morning. If you won't won't keep the sound escaping from your bratty offsprings mouths then I won't keep the foul stench from escaping my ass. My plan did not work as they kept being annoying...but at least I slightly more comfortable. Fortunately Sylv was around to help me pass 40 minutes. So...we get to boarding and like people from gates to the left and the right just start lining up for this flight and they're like "durrr sorry we oversold...by a couple". I learned that in airline terms, "a couple" means 1 out of 5 of you is fucked. I haven't flown in a couple years, but they have gotten pretty good at profiling and screening people. They wouldn't say it when I called them on it, but I got bumped for just being a passenger travelling solo. The fucktard clan however got right on the plane and are undoubtedly singing it up somewhere over Indiana while I write this. So, this guy who looks like Bubba Smith working at the ticket window is like (in a deep voice like the guy from the Green Mile) "You'll have to go to customer service now". So I'm like, wtf does that mean? He's like "You'll have to go to customer service now". Annoyed and disregarding the fact that he is 8 inches taller then I am and in reasonably good shape I say "I fucking heard you the first time, how is that getting me on that plane"? He then takes a single step forward and says "You'll have to go to customer service now". Looks like I'll have to go to customer service now. So...I go to customer service and you can actually fell the collective rage in the line. I found the worst job in the world. It is to be on the recieving end of the customer service desk. There was enough raw hatred in just our little line of 20 people to probably power a small genocide in some country no one knows or cares about. I finally get to this short black lady who's like "how can I help you". How can I help you? I guess it's a loaded scenario so whatever, I'll bite. I'm like, teleport me into the cargo hold of the plane that is currently taxiing out to go to Vegas. She's like "I'm sorry I can't do that". I could tell this was going to be fun. Then she's like blah blah blah and some more boring blah blah blah and now I'm leaving tomorrow at 12:30 and instead of a direct flight I have to go to Los Angeles...because that is on the way to Las Vegas. But hey...I get a free ticket out of the experience so that I can re-live this shitty miserable day at a future date.
TL;DR Fuck United Airlines, they are a pirate hooker nazi organization that will dry fuck your anus then tell you to smile after they're done. Do not fly United Airlines. I never will again.

United Airlines can suck a fat cock. My flight gets delayed an hour so I have sit in this packed terminal which is kept at 2 degrees above 0 I guess in hopes that if we are cold we will be slower and easier to control. My particular section of frozen hell was surrounded by quite possibly the most annoying family in the world who don't believe in birth control. All girls, 5 of them. 2 of which were twins. These fucking retards are the type of folks who give timeouts. So I'm sitting there trying to watch Wolf Blitzer intervew this faggot in the army (Lt. Dan Choi...tell me, what's the funny thing there). And all I get are these little fucking mongoloids trying to sing the newest 13 year old over maid up whore of pop cultures new hit song of the week OVER EACH OTHER. Instead of being responsible parents and back handing the first out of line child to teach it it's place in silence they ACTUALLY STARTED CLAPPING AND CHEERING THEM ON. I've half heartedly wished death on people...and sometimes myself, but I sincerely was praying for a meteorite to fall from the sky and kill them all, somehow sparing me. So...after about 30 minutes of that and realizing that these fucking glass sorters have no fucking concept of "being out in public" I said fuck it...and started to use this miserable food poisoning for some good. Till this point I was sitting uncomfortably in the terminal with gas from the bacon and egg sandwich I tried to eat this morning. If you won't won't keep the sound escaping from your bratty offsprings mouths then I won't keep the foul stench from escaping my ass. My plan did not work as they kept being annoying...but at least I slightly more comfortable. Fortunately Sylv was around to help me pass 40 minutes. So...we get to boarding and like people from gates to the left and the right just start lining up for this flight and they're like "durrr sorry we oversold...by a couple". I learned that in airline terms, "a couple" means 1 out of 5 of you is fucked. I haven't flown in a couple years, but they have gotten pretty good at profiling and screening people. They wouldn't say it when I called them on it, but I got bumped for just being a passenger travelling solo. The fucktard clan however got right on the plane and are undoubtedly singing it up somewhere over Indiana while I write this. American Airlines now charge for a pillow or blanket.
Normally i only fly on southwest.

That is one impressive wall of text there Wylan. Ask yourself this question, if you have a terminal post job with a few quiet (albeit disgruntled looking) people and a big family full of out of control Hannah Montana wannabes, who would you put on the plane first? Personally, I'd rather deal with Angry Wylan - and that's saying quite a bit.
I've used it to my advantage before though. For some reason an US Airways decided that my booking 3 seats together didn't really mean I wanted us all to sit together (that part where you choose seats while booking is just a stupid little Flash game, I guess). Their solution was I got to ask the guy sitting next to my wife and son to swap his window seat for my aisle seat a few rows away - the airline had no intentions of doing anything about it. Now my son, who was 3 at the time and is really low key, particularly since I had his Nintendo DS charged to full with Mario Kart. So I asked the guy to swap with me and he gave me this really annoyed look and was getting ready to say "No way". As he opened his mouth I picked my son up and set him in the seat right beside him. Let's just say that he quickly changed his answer. I've never seen someone collect their stuff on an airline that fast in my life.
By the way, American also announced they were going to start charging $50 dollars to people that take flights on standby. Might want to make sure that "free" ticket doesn't have a fee attached if you use it and get bumped (if United follows suit).

My computer, which isn't that terribly old, built it on Kil'Jaeden, biting the dust immediately after coming back from a way too expensive vacation. My best guess is the PSU has been going bad for awhile, I thought the graphics card was overheating and stuck a fan in the side and that seemed to help for awhile. Then today it started hard locking randomly doing anything. Yeah...pretty sure the CPU fan hasn't been working for a few days and it's probably fried too.
