View Full Version : Runed Orbs
Thought I saw Lumy selling these in trade the other day. Is Alpha / any other Ysera 2.0 guilds still selling these? And about how much of my soul is required to get them?
We're not selling runed orbs just yet. I'm certain they will be available before too long, considering how much our bank has dipped to pay for repairs so far, but there is still too high a demand in guild at this time.

If Lumy is selling them then there are bigger issues as my account would be compromised...
Not necessarily... Lumy could be spending his lolbadges on them. Runed orbs are on the vendor for 10 conquest badges each.
Not the smartest expenditure of badges at the moment, just buying them to sell them, but I like to give people the benefit of the doubt when they're in a real guild.

18 each.
I figured this would come up. I had 40 conq badges sitting around, and the vendor stuff isn't that great for hunters that are full of Naxx gear. Pants are pretty good, but that is about it.
Yeah, I could have waited for 18 more badges to get a set piece, but I figured hocking 2 of them while the price was high was worth it to be able to get a Nobles deck. The trinket is a far greater upgrade than the jump from T7 -> T8, so I jumped at the chance.
I'm not sure if I'll use any more badges for them now that I have my Nobles Deck, we shall see how things work out.
I wasn't trying to out anyone, I just thought I saw some in trade. There is several on the AH now for about 3k, I might see if I can pick those up. I'm still a ways off on the other mats as is...
18 each.
My bad... thought they'd be 10 each like the frozen ones. Haven't really looked.

Well, for what it's worth, the former RWC guild bank has 4 Runed Orbs for sale if you're still interested (or anyone, for that matter)... Get in touch with Trast in-game.

what happened to RWC?
Last Tuesday after our raid, one of the raid leaders (Najei, formerly known as Tankhealer) told the GM that he was gquitting, along with 6 or 7 other people, to form a 'hardcore' guild.
The GM was already going through a big case of burnout, and this was the straw that broke the camel's back. He and Najei/Tankhealer go back a long ways (3+ years), and it felt to him like a big stab in the back. He said fuck it, transferred GM to Najei/Tankhealer, and pretty much quit stopped playing. See also the "Thanks for the memories" post in Ysera general forums by Bigspence (Amazingly, it's not a guild recruitment thread, *and* it hasn't been deleted.. The mods must be falling asleep).
Anyways, during the day on Wednesday, most of the officers chimed in on our forums that they weren't staying either. Personally, I think Najei/Tankhealer expected all of RWC to jump to the guild he was forming, and/or stay in RWC when he got GM. Regardless of why, that wasn't happening. Wednesday night was a vent meeting for him to explain what was going on, where RWC was heading, blah blah blah.
It essentially ended up being a lot of him saying he didn't expect it to go this way, it wasn't what he calculated, and all sorts of other shit to try and get more people to go with him. He then gquit and formed his new guild (named Mermeros), with 6 or 7 people following along. Over the past few days, more people have drifted over there (Including the guy who was in charge of our gbank, after he "removed some of the assets he felt he was entitled to".. yeah. Amusingly, tankhealer always said he thought that guy was a failure, but failures are being allowed into his hardcore guild when they bring gbank contents with them). Other people have decided to take a break from WoW and/or transfer servers.
So, long and short, RWC is pretty much closing up shop. Those that are left are liquidating some of what's left in the gbank, splitting up the gold, then going on our separate ways. I know a couple people have apped to Lunacy, a couple others are talking about a friends and family guild, and a few more are undecided.

Report the guy for taking stuff from the bank. Claim RWC needed the funds to progress and you will get the majority of them back.

The good people who are left are too shellshocked to go through that process. All I can really hope is the people who took the stuff choke on it.
Also, hai Flail!
Ouch. Well hit me up on those runeds if you guys need to move them or haven't already.

That's the Cliff Notes version of events to be sure. I didn't and don't feel it's appropriate to go into too much detail about everything that went on that culminated in my quitting. Suffice it to say that hindsight is a motherfucker. Things you thought were just kinda odd become bigass roadsigns that you feel stupid for missing. But the fact of the matter is I'm not one for drama. I've always shot straight, and this situation's no different. Regardless of my opinion on events, at the end of the day the only thing I can control is my own actions and reactions. It was a fun 4 years, but everything ends in time.
I spoke with Wylan and expressed my respect of him and Alpha, and felt it appropriate to do so here as well. You guys get shit done, and were very helpful in giving advice and support during our content progression as well. So Alpha, I wish you well, and hope to see you guys' ranking continue to rise. Good luck to you all.
Except Joebadgeloot. That guy can suck it. :D
Peace
