Season 3 is likely to start when the Zul'Aman patch (Patch 2.3) is launched, however there is a chance that it might be delayed to some time after the release of that patch.

Additionally it should be interesting for you to know that once season 3 have started, it will be possible for you to buy Season 1 gear using honor points (approximately 15k/piece).

Guess pooted was right :P

Oh good. I was just thinking "man it's unfair that my daggers are 1-3 dps higher than arena daggers and that the honor gear is only a few ilevels higher than my tier 5, they totally need to release season 3 gear so people can afk in av for gear with a higher ilevel than T6"

Psss...Welcome to The Casual Crusade. I'm sure it'll be even better in Wrath of the Part Time Gamer...Who is King!

For all the wine and cheese that end-game raiders eat and drink, some of those casual/part-time gamer changes help us out. Outside raid options for gear upgrades help off set the random drop nature of raid rewards. Why wouldn't we welcome a means to concretely define that 2-3 weeks of effort, whether they be PvP or that new rep grind, will yield an upgrade to that slot that you've been trying to upgrade, but that stingy boss just won't drop it?

Or, you have a chance to grind out a minor upgrade and let another guild mate get that major upgrade that increases the effectiveness of the raid overall more so than you picking it up as an off-spec or side/minor upgrade. Sure, it lowers your ilevel epeen, but aren't we dancing with bosses that only 2-3 other guilds on this server even get to see? More gear opportunities means better preparation for boss kills, which means more gear to dangle from your pants. Win win.

Sounds a bit red to me.

Hmmm, 2.3, so that has a very good chance of coming out in less than 2 months, looks like I will be switching to getting S2 with my points and then start saving for a weapon.

The amount of honor required though is pretty disappointing, it takes me 1 day on an honor weekend, or 2 normal days to grind 15k. I was expecting something more like 30k, since S1 is such a small downgrade from S2. At 15k each, I will be able to just walk in at patch 2.3 and fill my empty slots and I'm sure most others will be able to do that as well, making everyone pretty much have over 11k HP and 300+ resilience. It's just annoying to see gear that took 3-4 weeks in season 2, takes only 1-2 days to get in 2.3, it's a pretty huge drop.

Ah well, at least the weapons will be off-limits to anyone lower than a 1900 rating.

At Blizzcon they eluded to the fact that a load of points would not be enough to get the weapons and very best Arena gear Tier 6 equivalents. You would also have to have a minimum Rating on one of your teams.

*edit* just saw Millenia mentioned the 1900 rating requirement.

At least "lawl free epics that look like T6" will have to be earned, like the actual T6.

You win Fuggles.

On a side note...I was getting some gear together to try some 5v5 and I kid you not, Nao said "Wear your T5, it looks enough like arena gear to confuse them into thinking they should not go after you first".

How f'ing sad is that?

F Blizzard and their desire to let everybody win. Life isn't full of winners. I expect that when this next expansion comes, upon reaching Northrend you'll find Arthas waiting in the center of the Shatt equivalent, tied to a table with pants around his ankles, a giant can of never ending lube next to him, and a sign saying "You're the bestest, experience the END game" next to him.

Blizzard could learn alot from this. Accept the fact that their are astronauts and fry cooks in WoW. Stop trying to cram them all into the GD shuttle...it will never take off. Instead it will probably explode killing all aboard.

Despair.com is one of my favorite websites. The calendar's they do are amazing. Just full of ideas gone bad and failures, both famous and unknown through out history.

Well worth the 30 bucks or whatever it is.
